Indian Law Partners

Indian Law Partners (ILP) was established by Gopika Pant in 1999 as a boutique corporate commercial law firm after leaving (now) the largest Indian law firm as its first non-family equity partner. Times Bank merger with HDFC Bank was the company’s first transaction.

In 2004, Partners of ILP joined hands with DSK Legal and concluded several major domestic and cross-border transactions. In 2011, the corporate team at DSK Legal Delhi, headed by Gopika Pant, restarted IPL, which focuses on corporate commercial, M&A, JVs, PE Funds, Securitization, Debt re-structuring, Regulatory and Compliance matters.

The company opened its Mumbai office in 2012. ILP has a non-exclusive agreement best friend referral relationship with Ashurst, a global law firm with offices in 16 countries and with whom, Blake Dawson, Australia has merged their Asian practice.
