Dighi Port Limited is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of BIPL promoted to establish an all weather port with multiple facilities. DPL is co-promoted by Infrastructure Leasing & Finance Services (IL&FS). Dighi Port Limited has signed with Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB), a concession agreement for 50 years on BOOST basis to develop, operate, finance and maintain the Dighi Port.
Dighi SEZ is designed as duty-free enclave and deemed to be a foreign territory for the purpose of trade operations, duties and tariffs. DSEZ would be a multi-industry SEZ with a land bank of over 1600 acres and is the largest port based SEZ in Maharashtra. Dighi SEZ has obtained all regulatory permissions and licenses ensuring that the manufacturers will be able to start operations with the least possible hassle. It is being established with the purpose to create a self-sustainable business environment for enterprises by providing integrated infrastructure format in the most economical manner.
Dighi Logistics has put in place logistics infrastructure to ensure last mile connectivity and is in the process of upgrading 110 km of Highway and laying of a 40 km of rail line. The project is being developed under the integrated infrastructure format and is identified and included as an economic hub under the prestigious “Dedicated Freight Corridor Project” and the “Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project” which is being jointly developed by the Government of India and the Japanese Government.
