At Froots, they are creating an evidence based brand, focusing on intrinsic food quality at farm level, from a network of trusted, individually owned but centrally monitored, blockchain and IOT enabled Smart Farms. During production (while growing), they are ensuring setting of trackable metrics to predict farm quality by tracking genetics, environment and management factors so that consistently availability of genuine quality tested agri produce at farm gate, as per buyer’s requirement is guaranteed and the buyer can buy the produce with confidence.
Froots intends to use IOT to monitor these distributed farms and capture data and record that in blockchain. Sensor based farm monitoring will ensure that produce meets quality standards. Moreover, blockchain will enable tamper proof recording of entire farm to table journey of the crop
produce. Data auditing will be easy throughout supply chain and establish trust amongst the consumers.
