Continental Carriers Pvt. Ltd., was established in 1957 by Mr. TN Vohra, a former banker and a visionary, regarded as one of the pioneers of the logistics & freight forwarding industry in India.

With a legacy of over 64 years of operations, Continental Carriers Pvt. Ltd. provides professional services to over 5000 exporters and importers all over the country and is always considered as a preferred service provider. Continental Carriers was one of the first Indian companies to be contracted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation to provide Cargo Handling services at Delhi Airport between 1979 & 1985. Along with this Continental also pioneered in the induction of GOH clearing capability with the CBEC, Ministry of Finance.

Over the last 6 decades the company has periodically undergone organisational restructuring and reorganization to achieve streamlined systems matching to global standards. Today Continental marks its foray into Logistics Infrastructure by making India’s first private Greenfield Air Freight Station in New Delhi. This facility is the first ever export bonded facility having customs officials deployed onsite with capability to screen and unitise Air Freight before Carrier handover, making Continental the first Indian company to have complete control over cargo from customer to carrier.

Continental has been the choice of large corporations such as the Brinks Group (USA), Union Transport (Germany), Airborne (USA), Concord (Singapore) and Danzas (France, now DHL) for their entry strategy into India. The group was also in a Joint venture with Geopost, France which is the private investment arm of EUR 40B La Poste till 2012.
