The Port handled 63.983 million tonnes (mt) of traffic in 2019-20 creating an all time record, surpassing the previous highest of 63.763 mt handled in 2018-19, with a 38.21% growth and a CAGR 6.69 % over 2014-15. Growth of traffic slowed down particularly in the last quarter of 2019-20 primarily due to COVID19 pandemic that disrupted trade worldwide.
