Scalene Engineers Private Limited was the first company that was established to design develop and manufacture medical devices under the techno- commercial co-operation of ASKIT Kft. Of Hungary. The first of the products were Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring System (ABPM) and Non-Invasive Cardiac Output Monitors. Scalene started independent research into cardiovascular physiology in 1993 and successfully developed the first prototype of HAEMOTRON in 1998.The result of which was first presented at the European Society of Cardio Congress in Barcelona, Spain in 1999, and later at the IEEE- CBMS, at the National Institute of Health, USA. HAEMOTRON was commercialized in 1999 and today there are over 150 installations in about 20 countries. HAEMOTRON was renamed as Haemoseis-256 in 2003.
Simultaneously with the developments in Medical Engineering, Scalene also was active in defense research with the collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, Electronics Directorate, Republic of Hungary. Scalene worked on Force to Force Combat Training System (FOFTF), with MCEME in India. Global Positioning Systems (GPS) was another area that Scalene was actively participating. Scalene since entered int an agreement with BEL Multitone Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Electronics Limited.
In the year 2000, Scalene Cybernetics Limited was established with its research & development wing, the Centre for Advanced Research & Development (CARD). Scalene Engineers transferred all ongoing research projects to CARD.
Center for Advanced Research and Development (CARD) has designed and developed the following medical technologies. All medical technologies are licensed to be manufactured and commercially exploited to scalene Cybernetics Limited.
